If you believe you have found a security problem on this site or in the member portal, please tell us. This page explains how to report it, what we ask of you, and what you can expect from us.
How to Report
Email us at security@joincowboychristian.com. This is also the address for reporting abuse, such as an email or website pretending to be Cowboy Christian. We do not have a separate abuse address.
For help with your own membership or account, such as trouble signing in, email support@joincowboychristian.com.
Please tell us:
- What you found and where you found it, such as the page address.
- The steps we can follow to see it ourselves.
- How to reach you, if you want a reply.
Please do not send us passwords or other people's personal or health information. Tell us where you saw it and we will look.
What to Expect
We will acknowledge your report within 7 days. That first reply confirms we received it. Looking into a report and fixing a problem can take longer.
We do not offer payment for reports.
What We Ask of You
If you look for security problems here, please:
- Use only your own account and your own information. Do not view, change, copy, or keep anyone else's.
- Stop and tell us right away if you come across another person's information.
- Do not use a password, key, or other secret you find. Tell us right away where you found it, but do not send it to us.
- Do only what you need to show us that a problem exists. Do not use it to get further in, keep access, change or delete anything that is not yours, or reach other systems.
- Do not do anything that could slow down or interrupt the site for other people.
- Do not try to move money or get money through a problem you find. Use payments and sharing requests only as a regular member would.
- Do not try to trick or pressure our members or our team, and do not send them unwanted messages.
- Test only this site and the member portal. We cannot give permission to test the outside companies whose services we use.
- Give us a reasonable amount of time to fix a problem before you tell anyone else about it.
- Do not ask for payment in exchange for telling us what you found.
Our Commitment to You
If you act in good faith and follow the requests on this page, we consider your research authorized. We will not take legal action against you over it, whether under computer misuse laws, under laws against getting around technical protections, or for breaking our Terms of Use, and we will not ask law enforcement to investigate you for it.
This commitment is ours alone. We cannot authorize testing of the outside companies whose services we use, and we cannot speak for anyone else. It does not change any duty the law places on us, including a duty to notify members or regulators.
Protecting Member Information
Our Privacy Policy explains how we protect member information, under How We Protect Your Information.
